Success Advisory Program Testimonials
Q. What is the Success Advisory Program?
We believe that a grounded, resilient and well-rounded child has the best chance at academic success. Therefore, the Success Advisory Program is designed to help your child maximize their potential by laying a strong social-emotional developmental foundation in areas such as social skills, study habits, motivation, problem solving, time management, stress reduction and direction finding. We also advise on academics, extra-curricular activities and summer programs planning as well as facilitating child-parent relationships and family communication.
Q. How does the Success Advisory Program work?
Your child will receive an individually customized advisory curriculum and usually meets with our counselor once a month or as needed to support areas needed for their growth. All our sessions are conducted in a virtual, one-on-one setting in real time.
Q. What types of students benefit from the Success Advisory Program?
All students can benefit from the Success Advisory Program and we work with many types of students in all age ranges. Please note that the Success Advisory Program is not for therapeutic purposes. We work as coaches to help your child thrive.
Q. How are you different from your peers?
We differ from others in the quality of our counselors, the depth of our program, the collaboration with parents and the level of our care. Our counselors are professionals trained in school counseling, counseling psychology and child development with at least 20 years of experience. While other peers may offer “Advising” programs, they often only focus on the academic performance and extracurricular activities planning. We go beyond such typical services and emphasize the holistic development of your child. Also, we not only work with your child, but your families as well, as parenting brings its own challenges. We pride ourselves on the level of professionalism and care put into helping each child and family.
Q. How do you measure success?
We measure success from a student's social-emotional and academic growth standpoint as well as their relationship with their family. Social-emotional growth often leads to the increased motivation and confidence in the academic realm and a strengthened relationship with the student’s family. These three aspects act in concert with one another, forming a positive and rewarding cycle.
Q. Why do you also work with parents?
We believe that parents are an integral part of a child's development. Therefore, including parents in the program significantly aids the child’s growth. We are effective at navigating family dynamics and always operate from a place of compassion. Parents have often thanked us for strengthening their familial bond and helping their children thrive.
Q. What is the most frequent feedback you receive from families you work with?
Parents have repeatedly told us that their children have become more independent and motivated. This invariably leads to a strengthened relationship between the parents and child and improved family dynamics, further contributing to the child’s academic success. Witnessing such a transformation is our proudest moment.
