Alice, artistic and creative, attends a sought-after independent school in New York City and enrolled in our Success Advisory Program to help her reach her potential. We identified her learning styles, strengths and areas of improvement and problem-solved with Alice on issues of time management, procrastination and balancing school work with extracurricular activities. Her parents reported a decrease in power struggles and Alice became more motivated and serious about her school work and future

Alice also joined our English program where we focused on academic language, essay writing and grammar. We also guided the whole family on college planning, summer activities planning, course selection and effective communication. Alice’s family now is confident in their ability to navigate the future and challenges of adolescence.

Eric, a high school senior, was the sole candidate accepted into New York University's Tandon School of Engineering from Taichung City, Taiwan for Class 2027. While Eric secured admission through our School Application Program, it became evident during the application process that he faced challenges in managing his time, handling stress, being accountable and maintaining structure. We successfully aided him in establishing a work timeline and holding him responsible for his academic obligations both during and after the admission process, as we believe that securing admission is not the sole objective for our students and we strive for holistic and sustainable success.

Recognizing the significant importance of family support, Eric's mother actively participated in family sessions to improve communication and parenting skills. Our ultimate goal is to foster Eric's growth into an independent, motivated and resilient adult who is driven by a clear purpose in college and beyond.

Emma is an exemplary and diligent student who excels in her academic pursuits at an exclusively English-speaking school in Taiwan. Despite her outstanding academic performance, Emma was hesitant to extend herself beyond her studies to participate in extracurricular activities. She initially enrolled in our English program. At our recommendation, Emma enrolled in our Success Advisory Program.

Shortly after joining our program, Emma’s parents observed a remarkable transformation in Emma who became more sociable and receptive to new experiences. Emma even joined the school's volleyball team, a significant departure from her prior aversion to extracurricular pursuits. We are thrilled to witness Emma’s emergence as a well-rounded student to embrace all that the world has to offer.

Harrison is a vivacious and sociable 8th-grade student with a remarkable talent and passion for competitive swimming. However, like many youngsters his age, he is prone to distraction, struggles with time management and exhibits inconsistency in his academic performance. We engaged him in a problem-solving process, identified areas for improvement while emphasizing accountability.

Harrison also enrolled in our English Program and the close collaboration between our counselor and English teacher reinforced the changes in him. Harrison's parents report a newfound sense of direction and motivation, crucial for high school academic success. Harrison remains committed to his competitive swimming and looks forward to a great high school experience!

Emma, diligent and amiable with an affinity for Flaming Hot Lime Cheetos, is deeply interested computer science, cybersecurity and STEM subjects. Starting from 11th grade, Emma joined our Success Advisory Program for guidance on course selection, AP course planning, summer activities planning, social-emotional development and career exploration. She also participated in our English Program to further develop her writing skills.

Upon entering 12th grade, Emma participated in our College Application Program, where we guided her in crafting empowering essays as well as every aspect in the application. Emma’s mother reported that since Emma joined our program, the stress and anxiety levels of the whole family have decreased significantly and the familial bond strengthened. Emma blossomed into a self-reliant and motivated young lady and was admitted to UCLA and USC. The success is the culmination of Emma’s hard work with our Success Advisory Program, Academic Enrichment Program and School Admission Program. As a token of our congratulation, we gifted Emma a box of her favorite Cheetos to relish!

Sherrie hails from an engineering pedigree with her father being an electrical engineer and her elder brother, with the support of our School Application Program, currently pursuing Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Inheriting the same passion for STEM, Sherrie also exhibits remarkable aptitude in the field, yet requires our guidance in honing her English language skills, for which she is enrolled in our Academic Enrichment Program initially.

However, Sherrie's high aspirations often render her vulnerable to bouts of nervousness, especially under stressful situations. To support Sherrie, we fostered a nurturing environment for her to process her emotions, while concurrently working with her and her family to reduce stress level, promote socialization and broaden her experience beyond academics. With our guidance, Sherrie has made impressive strides, emerging from her shell and continuing to flourish.

Shawn, a sophomore, is a discerning and cautious young man with a keen interest in Japanese Manga. Like many teenagers, he is grappling with finding his path and peer groups. His reserved manner can sometimes negatively impact his relationships with others, further eroding his confidence and impeding his performance in school.
To assist Shawn, we took a growth-oriented approach to identify his strengths. As such, Shawn discovered that his younger brother admires him greatly, naming Shawn his hero in his life. We also engaged his whole family in this process to recognize Shawn's strengths as well as guide him navigate the college application process, summer planning and standardized test preparation.

In order to improve his grammar, pronunciation, reading comprehension and writing skills, Ethan joined our Academic Enrichment Program. However, we noticed that his academic challenges were not limited to his language skills alone, but his time management skills, internet usage, task prioritization, concentration and motivation. Therefore, he enrolled in our Success Advisory Program to address these issues.

Our integrated approach to learning meant that both the Academic Enrichment classes and counseling sessions worked in harmony to reinforce positive changes in Ethan. To ensure that Ethan's academic progress was sustainable, we offered his parents support and encouragement while navigating family dynamics, leading to a sense of shared direction within the family.
